When most people think of Telluride, they usually think of skiing. I am here to tell you it is an equally awesome place to visit during the summer. There is a bustling scene of people in the summer doing things like downhill mountain biking which I really wanted to try. There are also gorgeous golf courses, tons of hiking, and of course you can just explore (which is what we did). After a casual stroll up and down the main street in town, we found ourselves traveling off the beaten path (as we tend to do), and we stumbled upon a gondola. We originally thought it was a typical sightseeing gondola, as many ski resorts have in the summer, but it turned out to be a bit more than that. This Gondola serves as public transit between Telluride and a serious hidden gem - Mountain Village.

As you can see, dogs are allowed, and the views are amazing. We got lucky with the weather.

It really felt like public transit, too, because as you can see we had to make transfers throughout our journey over the mountains. And the best part is, it's free!

When we arrived in Mountain Village it immediately felt like we were in some kind of mountainous Disney World. All the buildings had these perfect fairytale-type designs.

I still vividly remember the mac and cheese I had at this restaurant, it was amazing.
Does anyone else always ask themselves when traveling, "Should I move here?" A big part of the fun of traveling is just imagining what it would be like to live in different unique places - we learned that Oprah has a $14M home in Mountain Village. so this neighborhood might be out of our reach at the moment, but it was cool to see! Thanks for reading - next week Hazey hikes Blain Basin!
